PEPTIDES
Pre-Treatment Care
● Recent labs required: Laboratory results completed within the last 3 months are required before starting treatment. Additional testing may be requested by your provider.
● Medical clearance: A medical evaluation and approval are required before beginning peptide therapy.
● Medical history: Disclose all medical conditions, allergies, current medications, supplements, and previous peptide treatments.
● Medication review: Inform your provider if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding, or have any significant medical conditions.
● Treatment plan: Review the purpose, potential risks, expected benefits, and limitations of your specific peptide with your provider before starting.
● Follow instructions: Obtain your medication from the authorized dispensing source and follow the prescribed instructions for storage, preparation, and administration.
● Do not begin treatment until your provider has reviewed your labs and approved your treatment plan.
Post-Treatment Care
● Monthly follow-ups are required to review your progress, assess tolerance, and determine whether continued treatment is appropriate.
● Use your peptide only as prescribed. Do not change your dose, frequency, or route of administration without provider approval.
● For injectable products, use a new sterile needle and syringe for every injection and follow your provider’s injection-site and disposal instructions.
● Store medication exactly as directed by the dispensing pharmacy.
● Maintain adequate hydration, balanced nutrition, and appropriate physical activity.
● Report any new symptoms, side effects, or changes in your health to your provider.
● Complete repeat laboratory testing as recommended by your provider.
When to Seek Medical Attention
Contact your provider promptly if you develop persistent or concerning side effects, redness or swelling at an injection site, or signs of infection. Seek urgent medical attention for difficulty breathing, facial or throat swelling, severe abdominal pain, or other serious symptoms.
Important Information
Peptides differ in their intended uses, evidence, risks, and regulatory status. Not all peptides are FDA-approved for human use, and compounded products are not FDA-approved. Treatment eligibility, monitoring, and continuation are determined by your medical provider.
