Medical Weight Loss Program
Pre-Treatment Requirements
● Recent labs are required: Please provide laboratory results completed within the last 3 months before starting the program. Additional testing may be required based on your medical history and provider assessment.
● Medical clearance: A medical evaluation and approval from our qualified medical provider are required before treatment begins.
● Medical history: Disclose all medical conditions, allergies, current medications, supplements, and previous weight-loss treatments.
● Medication review: Inform your provider if you have a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, significant gastrointestinal conditions, or any personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2.
● Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Notify your provider if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as weight-loss medications may not be appropriate.
● Nutrition and hydration: Begin prioritizing adequate protein intake, balanced nutrition, and daily hydration to support healthy weight management.
Post-Treatment Care
● Monthly follow-ups are required to monitor progress, review symptoms, assess medication tolerance, and determine whether treatment adjustments are appropriate.
● Take medication exactly as prescribed. Do not change your dose or dosing schedule without your provider’s approval.
● Drink plenty of water throughout the day, particularly if experiencing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
● Eat smaller, balanced meals, prioritize protein, and stop eating when comfortably full.
● Incorporate physical activity and strength training as medically appropriate to help preserve muscle during weight loss.
● Report persistent nausea, vomiting, constipation, or other bothersome side effects to your provider.
● Repeat laboratory testing as recommended by your provider to monitor your health and treatment response.
When to Seek Medical Attention
Contact your provider promptly for persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, or symptoms of gallbladder problems. Seek urgent medical attention for severe or persistent abdominal pain, particularly if it radiates to your back, or for a serious allergic reaction.
Your safety is our priority. Weight-loss medications require individualized medical assessment and ongoing monitoring. Results vary, and treatment plans are adjusted according to your response, health history, and provider recommendations.
