● Do not use self-tanners on the treatment area for 2 weeks before treatment.
● Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before your appointment, as instructed by your provider.

● Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, deodorants, and oils on the treatment area.
● Avoid irritating skincare products, including retinoids and exfoliating acids, on the treatment area for several days before treatment, as directed by your provider.
● Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, recent tanning, skin changes, and any history of cold sores or skin conditions.
● Notify your provider if you have recently started a medication that may increase sensitivity to light.
● Reschedule if you have an active skin infection, open wound, rash, or significant irritation in the treatment area.
Post-Care Instructions
● Mild redness, swelling, and a warm sensation around the hair follicles are common after treatment and generally resolve within a few hours to a few days.
● Apply a cool compress as needed to soothe the skin. Do not apply ice directly to the skin.
● Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours or until the skin has settled.
● Avoid scrubs, exfoliating products, retinoids, and other irritating skincare products on the treated area until redness and sensitivity have resolved.
● Keep the treated area clean and moisturize with a gentle, fragrance-free product if needed.
● Protect the treated area from sun exposure and apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to exposed skin.
● Do not wax, tweeze, or thread between treatments. Shaving is permitted once the skin is comfortable.
● Hair may shed gradually over the next 1–3 weeks. Do not pull or force hairs out of the skin.
Important: Contact Skin Firm if you develop blistering, increasing pain, significant swelling, or persistent or worsening redness. Seek medical evaluation for any concerning skin reaction.
For best results, complete the recommended series of treatments at the intervals advised by your provider. Results vary depending on hair color, skin type, treatment area, and individual response.
