Pre-Care Instructions
● Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup around the treatment area.
● Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising.
● Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, allergies, and medical conditions.
● Tell your provider if you have a history of cold sores, as treatment around the lips may trigger an outbreak.
● Inform your provider of any previous reactions to hyaluronidase or other injectable treatments, including severe allergies to bee or wasp stings.
● Reschedule if you have an active cold sore, skin infection, fever, or irritation in the treatment area.
● Do not stop prescribed medications or blood thinners unless directed by the prescribing healthcare professional.
Post-Care Instructions
● Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising may occur after treatment.
● Apply a cool compress gently as needed. Do not apply ice directly to the skin.
● Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area unless instructed by your provider.
● Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
● Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and excessive heat, saunas, and hot tubs for 24–48 hours.
● Keep the treatment area clean and avoid makeup directly over injection sites for 12–24 hours, or until the skin has closed, as directed by your provider.
● Allow swelling to settle before evaluating your results. The treated area may look different as the filler breaks down and swelling resolves.
● Additional treatment may be recommended depending on your goals and your provider’s assessment.
Important Safety Information: Seek emergency medical attention for difficulty breathing, throat tightness, or swelling of the tongue or throat, as these may indicate a serious allergic reaction.
